Fraikin has delivered nine new 18-tonne Iveco Eurocargos equipped for strategic operations firm Actavo.
The contract hire specialist has supplied an obstacle detection system for the nearside of the trucks to warn drivers of vulnerable road users. It has provided an edge-protection system that prevents falls while loading and unloading, and mounted an on-board weighing system to guard against the risk of overloading – this
feature can be used in situations such as delivering scaffolding or fencing to construction sites.
The trucks are equipped with Atlas radio remote-controlled cranes. Each vehicle will remain on contract hire until 2021 and Fraikin will carry out all servicing and maintenance, administration and documentation.
Fraikin vehicles now account for nearly two-thirds of the total Actavo fleet, which includes 10 3.5-tonne vans and seven 7.5-tonne rigids.
Gary Clark, head of fleet at Actavo, said Fraikin secured the order following a competitive tender because it provided comprehensive fleet support. The predictable monthly costs and complete service package help support our business growth,” he added.
