Freya Dawson joins the Dawsongroup board

Freya Dawson has been appointed to Dawsongroup’s main board, following eight years working in the family business.

“When your surname is Dawson, people expect you to have an easier time in the business,” said Dawson, the daughter of company founder Peter Dawson. “But the reverse is true. I have been supported by people at every level in the group, but nobody made life easy for me – and that’s how it should be. I learned a lot more, a lot faster, than if I had been sheltered from day one.”

Dawsongroup CEO Steve Miller said: “It’s great to have another family member at board level. She takes a seat in her own right and we look forward to her continuing input, on property matters and on a variety of business aspects.”
