Scania Renfrew has supplied Dumbarton-based Galt Transport with two new generation S500 Highline 6x2 tag axle tractor units.

The trucks, plated for 65 tonne special types category 2 operations, will carry out long distance as well as day delivery work. They join the firm’s fleet of more than 60 trucks and 100 trailers, including artic and rigid units and lorry mounted cranes.

Galt Transport fleet engineer, Ian Medhurst, said: “We’re expecting good things from the new S-series truck, they’re the most efficient and spacious trucks we’ve seen from Scania.

"We chose them for their quality, reliability, fuel performance and dealer back-up. Driver feedback so far has been excellent.”
