Gefco has signed a deal with protective clothing firm HPC Healthline to provide nationwide transport for its medical products and equipment.

As part of the contract Gefco will collect freight from HPC Healthcare sights in Bourne, Lincolnshire, and Peterborough to provide next-day delivery to retail and medical outlets, as well as distribution centres, across the country.

On average the deal will see Gefco move some 300 pallets a week as it looks to build its business outside of its core automotive market.

Colin McPherson, UK key account manager at Gefco, says:  “We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to work with HPC Healthline to offer efficient and flexible transport and logistics solutions.

“As a result of the agreement we have demonstrated our ability to work successfully with new lines of business and increase our activity into new market sectors,” he says.
