Geodis Calberson has signed a contract extension with Dow Agro Sciences, which will run until 2011.
The logistics company will handle the storage and distribution of 12,000 tonnes of goods per year from the Kings Lynn, Norfolk-based insecticide manufacturer's site. The firms have worked together since 1999.
Geodis Calberson is also responsible for managing import and export shipping office duties, and arranging transport for orders by land, sea and air for the business, which is a subsidiary of the Dow Chemical Company.
All staff on the contract are trained on site and ADR-registered to handle hazardous goods.
"By the very nature of the product, it is a highly complex contract, but one which demonstrates our level of expertise within the logistics market, and so we are delighted to have secured a further agreement with Dow Agro Sciences," says Gary Hubbard, director of UK Logistics at Geodis Calberson.
