Giti Tire has launched its next generation of drive axle tyre for mixed usage which claims to give a 20% improvement in mileage.
The Giti GDM686 drive axle tyre, which is suitable for on- and off-road use, has been revamped to produce a 20% increase in its potential mileage due to a new tread compound with higher abrasion resistance.
An improved casing optimises the footprint and allows for better pressure distribution which results in a more even tread wear between the centre of the tyre and its shoulder.
Testing has been carried out on two fleets in the UK and Germany running GDM686 tyres in 315/80R22.5 size.
Giti also claim that additional testing showed that the new tyre was also more resistant to tearing and casing damage on aggressive surfaces.
The new tyre is Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake rated and will be introduced in sizes 315/80R22.5, 12R22.5 and 13R22.5.
