GlobalLive develops universal CANbus system

GlobalLive has developed a universal CANbus connectivity system so its telematics products can link to most vehicles within a mixed fleet.

Working with technology partner Accutest, the company claims 95% connectivity across a mixed fleet. Data, such as driver performance, over-revving, excessive engine idling and engine faults, can then be accessed in real time.

The Accusan system gives access to data from either the vehicle's diagnostics port or communications network. GlobalLive's reporting engine translates CANbus data into reports to inform decisions on improving efficiency and economy. Bespoke reporting is also available, configurable for different vehicle makes and models.

A brief vehicle survey carried out free of charge prior to installation is used to confirm accessibility.
