GMA adds 12 Volvo FHs to fleet

GMA Warehousing and Transport has added 12 new Volvo FH-460 tractor units to its existing fleet following the start of its new operation in Felixstowe.

GMA, which has been operating Volvo trucks for the past 25 years, will be using 10 of the new vehicles to transport containers to customers around the UK, while the remaining two will be based at GMA's head office in Ipswich, Suffolk.

Robin Hatt, GMA trading director, says: "We've paid very close attention to operating costs by adding the Volvo Dynafleet telematics system. I've had experience of Dynafleet before. It's a really valuable tool."

The vehicles were supplied by Volvo Truck and Bus East Anglia and are specified with Globetrotter XL cabs in Drive+ trim along with Volvo's I-Shift automated transmission.
