Five trainers have graduated from the Daf dealer driver trainer programme at the manufacturer’s academy in Thame bringing the total of fully-qualified Daf dealer driver trainers to 23.
They will now join the manufacturer’s network of 34 sales locations, showing potential buyers how to optimise their Daf purchases.The training programme was funded and delivered in a joint venture by Daf and its dealer network.
Daf commercial trainer and press demonstration driver Mandy Wannerton said: “While modern commercial vehicles are becoming easier to drive the many technological advances and driver aids mean subtle changes to driving style can have a large effect on performance.
“Our Daf dealer driver trainers are shown every characteristic of the Daf product, and, importantly, that incisive product knowledge will allow them to demonstrate to drivers how to get the very best from their Daf trucks - regardless of the model.”
