Palletforce member H Beardsley has unveiled a £1m expansion strategy to future-proof its business for further growth.
The Nottinghamshire-based haulier says by October it will increase its warehouse capacity from 42,000ft² to 137,000ft², expand its 18-strong HGV fleet, and open a five-bay CV garage at the site.
Managing director James MacLachlan says the warehouse development is required to accommodate a new contract, which will commence in January 2011.
"We recently celebrated our 55th anniversary, which is a testament to the strength of the business, and these new plans are designed to ensure that our success continues solidly into the next few years. By investing now we can target bigger companies for contract wins in the future," says MacLachlan.
He tells CM the business does not have any debts and expects to self-finance the growth programme.
