Half dozen hike for Monks

Waste management specialist Monks Contractors has grown its fleet with six new trucks and trailers.

Two Scania S500s with STAS trailers have already entered service, while a further four Volvo FH tractor units and four more STAS trailers are due to arrive imminently.

“We’ve picked up a number of waste management contracts with local authorities and waste companies this year, so we’re continuing to expand our fleet to manage growing demand for our services,” said managing director Chris Monk.

“The new vehicles will be serviced and maintained in our in-house workshop, where we employ a team of 12 workshop operatives to keep all of our fleet on the road 24/7."
