West Midlands Volvo dealer Hartshorne has opened a dedicated used trucks site close to its Walsall depot.

The 1.3 acre site in Bentley Mill Way, near junction 10 of the M6, features a fully equipped workshop and body shop. It will display 30 to 40 FHs, FMs and FMXs on its forecourt at any one time; all low mileage examples from its selected and approved range of vehicles. Hartshorne has invested about £1m in the building and created an initial 10 new jobs at the site.

Ian Middleton, group sales director at Hartshorne Crossroads Group, said: “We’re proud to have great relationships with numerous businesses in and around Walsall. This investment in our new site here represents a huge vote of our confidence in the region.

“The new sales centre will enable us to further enhance the range choice that we offer to hauliers.” Bodyshop manager Jon Gregory said: “We are looking forward to offering operators in the area the chance to purchase some of the best used trucks available in the marketplace.”
