Sainsbury’s slashes CO2 through efficiency drive
Supermarket Sainsbury’s has taken more than one million vehicle kilometres off the roads in the past year due to more efficient use of its own and suppliers’ fleets. In addition, it has cut the amount of CO2 produced per 1,000 cases transported by 16% over the past five years and by 6.4% year-on-year and has already met its 2012 target.
