The Commercial Motor Awards are back for 2018 with 15 awards recognising the achievements of new and used truck dealerships; bodybuilders, rental and leasing firms.

Now in its third year the Commercial Motor Awards is established as the only event celebrating the achievements of suppliers and service providers to the UK road transport industry and is set for a gala evening at the Vox Centre in Birmingham on Thursday 15 November

There are three new categories for 2018: Forecourt/ Showroom of the Year; the Customer Service Award and Bodywork Innovation of the Year giving dealerships, bodybuilders and rental and leasing firms even more of a chance to win a coveted award judged by an independent panel of truck buyers and operators.

Franchised dealerships will be vying to take the much-sought after Franchised Dealer of the Year from Northern Ireland, where two of the previous winners have come from in the shape of Volvo-specialists Dennison Commercials in 2017 and Road Trucks (Scania) in 2016.

John Jenkins, MD, Dennison Commercials, said: “We were absolutely delighted and humbled to pick up the award, it was a very strong field of competition and this is great recognition for our team. The Commercial Motor Awards really stands out because independent judges have verified the result and it means a lot to the people in this business.”

Meanwhile independent dealerships will be looking to impress the judges and challenge PM Commercials, the only back-to-back winner in the two year history of the awards.

Paul May, MD, PM Commercials winner of Independent Dealer of the Year in 2016 and 2017, said: “It was always going to be a difficult task to improve ourselves once we had been voted the best in the industry but we have not sat back and rested. We have tried harder than ever to make ourselves even better, and this is what we have achieved over the past 12 months.”

The Commercial Motor Awards will take place at The Vox Centre in Birmingham on Thursday 15 November and are open for entry now at Commercialmotorawards.com.
