Driver to be arrested over alleged tyre fault
A warrant without bail has been issued for the arrest of a truck driver who faces disqualification from driving if found guilty of having a defective tyre on his vehicle. His employer, Aqua Cool Fresh Logistics of Greenford, London, was fined £1,500 by Solihull magistrates a few weeks ago for having the incorrect depth of grooves on a front tyre on one of its 17-tonne trucks. But the driver, Stephen Farmer of Conduit Way, Greenford, failed to attend court on the same charge.
