Northern Irish foodservice provider Henderson Foodservice has invested £1.9m on 18 new Renaults.

The newcomers, which were supplied by Diamond Trucks on seven-year full R&M contracts, comprise four 26-tonne D Wides and 14 18-tonne Ds. All are fitted with Lifford Coachworks refrigerated box bodies.

Logistics manager at Henderson Foodservice Gavin Hamill says: “It’s very positive news and a result of an increase in sales and a need for higher volumes to be delivered to stores, helping our customers meet shopper and consumer demands more efficiently.

“The first two Renault trucks have already gone on the road, and they look great, both wrapped in the bright blue livery of Northern Ireland’s biggest coffee brand, Barista Bar, available in SPAR, EUROSPAR, VIVO and VIVOXTRA stores."

The rest, which are rolling out over the next few months, will be Henderson Foodservice branded.

They will make deliveries to a variety of Henderson Foodservice’s customers in the hospitality sector, including hotels, restaurants, schools, cinemas and fast food chains, covering roughly 90,000km per annum.
