Parcel courier Hermes has opened its largest UK depot in Bradford.

The 54,724ft2 facility replaces a previous warehouse near the centre of the Yorkshire city and is situated on a 3.5 acre site on Dealburn Road.

Bradford features four double-deck and three drive-in doors, as well as training facilities.

Hermes is currently in the process of updating its DC coverage across the UK, which has included the opening of a new 100,000ft2 site in Warrington, as well as depots in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, and Crawley, West Sussex.

Carole Woodhead, chief executive of Hermes, says: “These recent developments will provide the added capacity to handle growth and support our commitment to providing a high quality home delivery service.”
