Hermes has secured a 60,000-parcels-per-year contract with footwear retailer Cloggs to handle the home delivery of its online orders.

The parcels carrier will collect shoes daily, including branded items such as UGG boots and Dr Martens, from the retailer’s Birmingham warehouse, and transport them to its national distribution hub in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Goods will then be delivered to customers by the company’s 7,500 lifestyle couriers using Hermes’ 48-hour standard service.

Carole Woodhead, CEO of Hermes UK, says: “Our courier network approach means we can provide an unrivalled solution that combines quality doorstep delivery, with a friendly and local service.”

Melanie Cross, head of customer experience at Cloggs, adds: “We needed a delivery partner that could provide a high quality service, especially during our peak period. Working with Hermes, we are confident of meeting the needs of our customers by making the shopping experience as convenient and rewarding as possible.”

Hermes has also recently won a contract with outsourcing firm 2Touch to carry out home deliveries for the Duvet & Pillow Warehouse (DAPW).
