Hiab has added another sales and servicing point to its expanding UK network with the purchase of LGSE (Londonderry Garage (SE)).
The site was formerly an authorised dealer for Hiab in the north-east and Yorkshire area but following investments in wholly owned sales, service and installation depots the company acquired the Northallerton-based business.
Hiab MD UK and Ireland Rogier van der Linde said: “This change strengthens our strategy to become a customer-focused solution provider. In the past year, we have opened workshops in London and Birmingham, and acquired service agents in the Midlands and Scotland. By establishing a Hiab-owned depot in the north-east we have taken another large step to strengthen our presence in the UK and to become the number-one partner for our customers.”
LGSE’s staff will be retained by Hiab, and the new entity will operate from the LGSE facility.
