Hiab has launched a new super heavy loader crane designed for use in built-up areas.
The new EFFER iQ.1400 HP is equipped with the SPACEevo advanced control system and is a 135 tonne metre (tm) crane with V10-Force decagonal boom. It has a maximum vertical reach of 39.5m and with a JIB of 26tm, it can deliver materials with an “up and over” of 26 metres. The V10-Force boom, first used in the EFFER 1000, provides increased strength for vertical performance and improved overall precision.
Hiab says the high lifting capacity makes it suitable for many applications, but the possible 83-degree working angle is suited for operations in metropolitan areas, allowing the vehicle to work closer to the buildings. The crane’s low weight and compact frame size also make it possible to install on smaller trucks.

The 135 tm range delivers performances similar to bigger segment cranes. The smaller frame makes it suitable for installations on smaller trucks and provides plenty of payload, not normally seen in this segment,” says Marcel Boxem, Hiab’s vice president of sales and product management of heavy and super heavy loader cranes.
