Renault Trucks dealer Sparks Commercial Services (Swindon) has provided Wiltshire-based Hills Quarry Products with its first Range C tipper.

The new 32-tonne Range C430 8x4, with Charlton Superlite tipping body, delivers aggregates and screed from Hills Quarry Products’ network of six quarries and five concrete plants to customers. Hills Quarry Products evaluated vehicle performance, driver feedback, financial viability and dealer back-up service before making the decision to purchase the Range C.

The company operates a five-year rolling fleet replacement programme and its vehicles are on full R&M contracts. John Warner, transport manager at Hills Quarry Products, said: “Early in 2016, we were granted access to a Range C eight-wheeled tipper demonstrator to allow a thorough assessment of its performance including carrying capacity, fuel consumption, driver comfort and safety features.

“The assessment gave us really positive results with each driver who tested the vehicle rating it highly for its spacious, ergonomic cab, good torque and excellent visibility.”
