Hoyer has taken delivery of 26 new Scania P series trucks, adding to its 500-strong fleet which operates across the UK. Each of the new vehicles has a 450hp engine while eight are hydrapak units.

Allan Davison, operations director of Hoyer Petrolog in the UK said: “We are pleased to announce the arrival of new additions to our Scania fleet. Scania has always offered an exceptionally reliable vehicle whilst also bringing the environmental benefits of returning excellent fuel economy and, importantly, this vehicle is always a popular choice with our driver workforce.”

Davison added: “As well as being vastly experienced in this sector, we value Scania’s excellent maintenance network and the shared values between the two organisations make this a deal we are very comfortable with.”

The vehicles will be maintained by Scania under a Fixed Price agreement spanning five years, and as well as the trucks, Scania will also be providing backup to all of the trailers used by the units.
