Iceland has appointed Norfolk Truck and Van in Enfield and Sparks Commercial Services in Swindon to tend to its fleet at its vehicle maintenance units (VMUs) and carry out inspections and MoT preparation for all makes including trailers and tail lifts.

The frozen goods retailer said factors behind the decision to appoint the Renault dealers were cost, the option for additional support from local dealerships and the national support from the manufacturer.

Iceland has also ordered 75 new Range T460 4x2s to update its fleet and service its stores in the south.

Norfolk Truck and Van general manager Martin Stroud said: “Our existing Renault Trucks dealership, with its dedicated team of Renault Trucks trained technicians in Mollison Avenue, is just half a mile away and on hand to offer support should it be required by the VMU.”

Sparks Commercial Services MD Michael Spark added: “We are perfectly located and equipped to deal with all of Iceland’s vehicle maintenance, inspections and MoT work in the area.”
