Industrial theft on the up in Bathgate

With trailers and beds being pinched in Bathgate, Lothian and Borders Police say industrial theft is on the increase. Between 12 and 16 December more than £3,000 of items were stolen from two industrial estates in Bathgate.

A Bateson 2630 flatbed trailer was stolen from a compound at Whiteside Industrial Estate between 5pm on 15 December and 6.30am on 16 December. The value was £2,350.

Between 5.45pm on Friday 12 December and 7am on 16 December, two Iveco vans parked in a compound at Hutton Square, Brucefield Industrial Estate were broken into. A load of single and double beds to the value of £750 were stolen.
