Interfloor believes that by using Paragon's routing and scheduling software, it has reduced its transport costs and cut administrative time by 35%.

The flooring products specialist – which delivers to Carpetright, B&Q and John Lewis Partnership retail and wholesale outlets – also reveals that the system has helped it centralise transport planning at its two sites at Haslingden, Lancashire and Dumfries, Scotland.

Interfloor logistics manager Shane Kenny says: "The software allows a single planner to produce optimised daily plans that ensure we are maximising the efficiency of our own fleet, as well as managing our subcontractors more effectively."

He adds: "It has consolidated our transportation operations, saving us time and allowing us to turn around orders within three days."

Interfloor, which owns brands such as Tredaire, Duralay, Gripperrods and Stikatak, manufactures underlay and flooring accessories.
