Isuzu Truck UK wins major European distributor award

Isuzu Truck UK has won the company’s European Distributor of the Year Award for the second year in a row.

It was presented by Isuzu Motors Europe (IME) at Isuzu’s European Parts and Service Awards 2015 held in Rome recently.

The awards are judged on a company’s performance throughout the year and cover categories including customer service, parts stock and availability, presentation of dealerships, training and overall service standards.

An evaluation process consists of 34 separate items, encompassing 18 items from the parts discipline of the business and 16 items from service.

The parts category includes inventory management; warehouse operation; supply management and sales/marketing promotion.

With regards to servicing, the judges take into account special tools and scantool, service information, warranty, standardised operation and quality information.

Peter Murphy, Isuzu Truck UK’s MD said: “It’s open to all countries throughout Europe and so the competition is incredibly tough, especially from Italy, France and Germany.

“The winner is measured and judged on three different areas: the audits that IME do on all of its European distributors, through to the amount, detail and accuracy of information that we send to them in the form of technical reports, and finally through actions such as recall activity, service campaigns and so on.
