Concrete specialist Bowland Stone has taken delivery of a 7.5-tonne Isuzu N75.150 aluminium-bodied rigid tipper – its third tipper from the manufacturer in two years.

Supplied and serviced by dealer AK Commercials, it is based out of the firm’s head office in Bristol and used to deliver loose aggregate, ready mixed concrete and floor screed.

The company bought its first Isuzu in 2008, which it ran for 12 years, and currently operates a fleet of 15 commercial vehicles across its depots in Bristol and Macclesfield on a six-day-a-week delivery cycle.

It claimed that payload was among the reasons it had stuck with the brand. “We were completely bowled over by [the new tipper’s] unbelievable 4-tonne payload capacity. We do not think that any other truck manufacturer could give us such a load potential at this GVW,” said Bowland’s director Ian Elston.

“As we operate the Isuzus primarily within the Bristol area, the compact footprint of the trucks, matched to the Easyshift automatic gearbox, has proved to be a really popular combination with our drivers, especially when operating within the tight streets of the Bristol conurbation.”
