Iveco appoints Iceni Trucks

Iceni Trucks is the new name representing Iveco Trucks in North London and East Anglia, following a management buyout.

It will replace Norfolk Trucks, which is part of the Peter Colby Commercials group. Iceni has sites at Enfield, Ipswich and Norwich that sell new and used commercial vehicles from 3.5 to 44 tonnes. Steve Fisher will be managing director.

Haulier battles for RPC for Euro-5 Iveco Stralis

Badbury, Swindon-based haulier Forte Transport is seeking legal advice after discovering the Euro-5 truck it bought six months ago is not eligible for an RPC tax discount. Owner-driver Mark Forte bought a 57-plated Iveco Stralis from Brand of Beccles and believed the vehicle would meet the government's requirements to receive an RPC and therefore a tax deduction.
