Iveco is security marking the windows and major components of all new vans and trucks in an attempt to reduce vehicle theft. It is also registering the vehicle and owner details with the International Security Register.

According to product director David Burke, an Iveco marked and registered is 55% less likely to be stolen than an unmarked one, and up to 72% more likely to be recovered if it is stolen.

He says: "Commercial vehicle and component crime remains an issue for road transport operators in the UK and Iveco is determined to help the industry tackle the problem."
