Iveco showed its new 490hp and 530hp diesel-powered S-WAY tractors at the debut Road Transport Expo event, which both featured the recently-launched aerodynamic A-pillar covers.
The engines have increased compression ratios and a new combustion management strategy in order to improve fuel economy.
Other efficiency improvements come from high-efficiency single-reduction rear axles, and longer rear axle ratios.
Together these improvements result in a reduction in fuel consumption by up to 3%.
Also on its stand was the new 7-tonne Daily.
Launched earlier this year, the van features a number of updates, including HI-ADAPTIVE memory foam seating, optional Pro Suspension and the Amazon Alex-powered Driver Pal system.
