The Stralis tractor unit will accompany Stralis X-Way 8x4 tippers already on the fleet. Nathan Brown of Brocks Haulage told CM that the reason why he had gone for an IVECO truck was to "give another brand an opportunity," with the move further prompted by urban emission changes.
The majority of its tippers operate in and out of London. Brown said there was "a fine-line in economic performance" between the IVECOs, Scanias and Volvos in Brock Haulage's fleet, but that the "drivers are happy, especially with the automatic gearboxes".
IVECO's stand will also feature a Stralis X-Way 8x4 rigid that's part of the North East Truck & Van demonstrator fleet, featuring a Boweld tipper body. Accompanying the X-Way will be a 3.5-tonne Daily tipper, which has a further 11,000 configurations such as crew cabs, chassis cabs and chassis cowls.
Completing the line-up will be a Stralis NP powered by liquified natural gas (LNG), which will be available to test on the local roads surrounding Tip-ex.
