Rochdale-based James Nuttall (Transport) has purchased a pair of 26-tonne Euro-6 Mercedes-Benz Actros rigids from dealer Enza.

The vehicles are powered by 320hp engines driving through 8-speed Mercedes PowerShift 3 automated transmissions, and will be inspected and serviced by the workshop team at Enza’s Trafford Park branch.

Both have StreamSpace cabs and lifting rear axles with single tyres, while their curtain-sided bodies are by Lawrence David.

The Palletforce member placed its order after a four-week trial of a Euro-6 demonstrator.

MD James Nuttall said: “Fuel economy was as we’d been led to expect. What struck me was the AdBlue consumption, which was significantly lower than we’re used to seeing from our Euro-5 trucks.”
