JDS Truck and Van supplies Renault Range C to Wrexham owner-driver Gareth Davies

Owner-driver Gareth Davies has taken delivery of his first-ever Renault truck - a 32-tonne Range C460 8x4 tipper - from JDS Truck and Van, Manchester.

Wrexham-based Davies, who has worked on a franchise basis for Clwyd Transport Services for two years, specified the sleeper cab vehicle with luxury heated seats, leather trim, lower bunk, fridge, night heater and leather steering wheel with cruise and telephone control.

It is fitted to a Fruehauf tipping body and has extra chassis reinforcement from the front of the drive axle to the rear. Davies said: “As I’m away all week, space is key for me, it feels like it’s got 10 times more room than my old truck.

“The competitive deal on the table including a four-year warranty was the icing on the cake. James Duffy from JDS has been on the ball throughout the sales process making sure the truck was exactly what I wanted, the aftersales service has been excellent too.

“It’s been on the road now for about six weeks and, as well as the comfort, the initial fuel figures are promising.”
