JJ&S Transport, of Calne, Wiltshire, has taken delivery of three 65-plate Volvo FHs from dealer Truck and Bus Wales and West.
The business was set up in 1985 as a bulk haulage specialist, with owner Paul Doust taking on the haulier in 2008.
The company has a 40-strong fleet including 16 owner-drivers. The FHs come with 493hp engines and 13-litre Globetrotter cabs featuring leather trim, fridges and inverters fitted by the company.
Doust said that while Volvo’s 453hp engine was the more economical, the larger power units and high spec were chosen to boost driver appeal to ensure retention.
“If these are anything like the others [the company took several FHs last year], they’ll be great. The previous FH was a really good truck and the current model is even better,” said Doust.
