Asset Alliance Group has supplied John McNally Haulage with eight new Mercedes-Benz Actros 510 tractor units, replacing much of the Lanarkshire-based haulier’s fleet.

The 6x2 GigaSpace trucks were taken on a three-year full service contract hire agreement, while sister company ATE Truck and Trailer Sales bought six of its used units.

John McNally, owner of John McNally Haulage, said: “Updating our fleet with Asset Alliance Group was quick and simple and really refreshing. They sourced and supplied the new trucks we wanted without any fuss and gave us a competitive price for our used vehicles. It’s been a seamless transition and has saved us a lot of time and money.”

The repair and maintenance support will also include all safety inspections, maintenance, servicing and repairs, with John McNally Haulage making just one monthly payment for the services. Asset Alliance has also arranged driver training from Mercedes for the staff to help improve efficiently, reduce fuel consumption and lower emissions.

McNally added: “Reliability and uptime are major factors in our business. The contract includes providing a relief vehicle when one of our tractors is in the workshop.”

The units will be used on John McNally Haulage’s main contract with P&O Ferrymasters, transporting general haulage from ports in Hull, Immingham, Liverpool and Teesport.
