Jost-GB has a new three-man management team: Paul Farthing, managing director Mike Johnson, sales and marketing director and Dave Deri, technical director. Jost-GB is responsible for the UK sales, marketing and aftersales of the Jost, Rockinger, Tridec and Regensburger Zuggabel brands.

"Changes in the scope of our business, including the recent addition of Tridec, have placed new demands on us," says Farthing. "Moreover, the safety-critical nature of our business demands the highest levels of technical support and customer service, and the entire team will be working together to ensure our high standards are not only maintained, but continuously improve."

As a result of the restructuring, previous managing director Roy Taylor has left. "We would like to thank Roy for his work with Jost and wish him all the very best for the future," says Johnson. Tridec's rear-steer product for trailers and multi-axle rigids, traditionally a slow burner in the UK, has started to take off with a major supermarket chain in the process of switching from rigids to tandem axle-steer trailers and tractor combinations.

According to a spokesman at the CV Show, the supermarket can not be named, but he believes the switch will improve the retailer's urban delivery set up. "They are easier to manoeuvre and are more versatile," he says. "If the tractor engine breaks down, you can still use the trailer to complete your delivery."
