JOST will be showasing its latest product range at this year’s Road Transport Expo (RTX), designed to make truck drivers’ jobs safer, more efficient and more sustainable.

On its RTX stand, visitors will be able to view live demonstrations that include the JOST KKS automatic coupling system with new King Pin Finder technology, intelligent axles and other products such as the RO50 towing hitch.

KKS is an automatic coupling system to couple and uncouple semi-trailers via remote control without leaving the driver’s cabin.

The process is guided using sensors that provide live information to the remote control. This removes the manual intervention traditionally required from the driver which will become even more important as the industry moves towards autonomous driving.

The KKS system can be fitted to new trailers or retrofitted to existing units with the KKS-U Connector.

JOST will also be showing its King Pin Finder technology. This is a camera integrated in the fifth wheel coupling that supports the coupling process by sending images to the dashboard display in the driver’s cabin.

The system helps to prevent accidents, damage to the fifth wheel coupling, king ping, truck and trailer.

JOST's Drum Modular Axle (DMA) series will be displayed too, which was developed based on customer feedback to make drum modular axles a flexible solution for several transport applications.

The DMA series can be combined with suspension from the DLS range. DMA features a robust tubular axle and modular leaf spring system which can be customised to suit customer requirements.

An external brake drum design also makes it easier to service and maintain without having to disassemble the wheel hub to access the brake linings.

The Durable Compact Axle (DCA) series is JOST’s modular axle which results in fewer replacement parts, lower stock costs, and lower life cycle costs. DCA WEIGHTMASTER PLUS is the lightest axle available in its class, reducing the trio weight by 51kg. The optional Weight Optimiser 27 can offer additional weight savings of 27kg.

JOST GB managing director Danny Broomfield said: “We are delighted to present our latest product lineup at the RTX 2024, but also JOST ‘classics’ such as the standard towing hitch ROCKINGER RO50 and container techniques that stand for flexibility, compatibility, stability and safety -  essential for the harsh conditions often encountered in combined transport.

"We invite all visitors to come to our stand B22 to experience first-hand the cutting-edge technologies and solutions that are shaping the future of the commercial vehicle industry.”

Road Transport Expo takes place from 4-6 June at NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. It is completely free to attend for visitors, so why not book your place today?!
