Manchester-based JSP Hauliers has added a DAF XG+ 530 FTG to its expanding fleet.

The truck, which was supplied by Motus Commercials, will be joined by a further five New Generation DAF XFs in the coming months.

Like the rest of the 22-strong fleet, the DAFs will run on HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil).

Steven Singh, who heads-up JSP Hauliers alongside his father Jarnial, and brother Danny, said: “It’s company policy for us to use HVO fuel in all of our trucks. Although it costs us more than diesel, we’re pleased to play a part in reducing our overall emissions. Because of the sustainability benefits, we also find that it’s viewed favourably by current and prospective customers who are keen to minimise their own environmental footprint.”

The haulier opted for DAF’s mirror replacement Digital Vision System, which Singh praises. “I’ve used a similar camera system before, and DAF’s is much better. It’s been well designed and stays clear in bad weather, which is crucial,” he said.

DAF Trucks will be exhibiting at Road Transport Expo at NAEC Stoneleigh (30 June to 2 July). Register now for FREE
