Mattress distributor Karomed is looking to slash its fuel usage by 15%, by equipping its fleet with Ctrack vehicle tracking units.

Telematics firm Ctrack has won a three-year deal with Somerset-based Karomed to fit 30 vans with Ctrack Online devices, which use Google maps to monitor individual or multiple vehicles, as well as journey details and live traffic information.

Steve Buckland, MD of Karomed, says: "We have selected the Ctrack solution due to its ability to boost fleet performance, reduce accidents and minimise environmental impact. By improving asset utilisation and efficiency, we are targeting a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 15%."
