Entertainment logistics specialist KB Event has opened a depot in East Molesey, Surrey, as it has outgrown its Wimbledon, London base.
The Wimbledon depot will continue to operate five rigid vehicles, while the new depot, headed up by operations manager Terry Banks, will initially operate 10 vehicles.
"There is room for future expansion at the new depot," says Stuart McPherson, KB Event MD.
Asked how business has been for KB Event this year, McPherson says: "Our business is split between corporate clients and the music industry, and the touring side of the music market has remained buoyant. We've just finished providing logistical support for The View, and we've got Travis, the Stereophonics and several festival gigs coming up."
He adds that KB Event provided a logistical management package for the G20 Summit in April, involving 312 trucks, and says he is looking to provide similar style packages in the future.
Including its head office in Pinxton, Nottinghamshire, KB Event operates a 55-strong fleet.
