Organic waste firm Keenan Recycling has ordered two 18-tonne Mercedes-Benz trucks with food waste bodies.

The trucks, both Euro-6 Mercedes-Benz Antos 1827s, will be fitted with Terberg food waste bodies. They are additions to the the 11-strong fleet (pictured) in October and will increase its fleet of dedicated  food waste vehicles to seven.

Grant Keenan, MD at the Aberdeenshire-based firm, claimed that it needed to increase the size of its fleet after the introduction of new waste regulations in Scotland, which resulted in increased business.

“Increasing the number of lorries in our fleet will allow us to cope with the rise in demand as more businesses start to follow the rules,” said Keenan.
