The Kel-Berg T109 Belt Trailer is taking pride of place at Kel-Berg Trucks and Trailers’ stand at the Tip-ex 2017 show in Harrogate this week (1-3 June).

The horizontal discharge trailer, which is on display at stand M17, was launched in the UK by Kel-Berg Trucks and Trailers earlier this year, following extensive trials in Denmark.

The vehicle, which offers claimed greater stability on uneven sites than traditional tipper trailers, is targeted at the construction, quarrying and aggregates industry.

The T109 is already in demand, with the company’s demonstration model booked out for 24 weeks following the show with companies including Cemex, Tarmac and Alfred Hymas.

Kel-Berg recently sealed a deal to supply six of the T109 trailers to airport runway resurfacing specialist Rory J Holbrook.

Kel-Berg director Ronnie Verner told CM: “We have seen a gap in the market for this as an increasing number of companies look for a safer on-site alternative to tipping trailers.

“We have tested the T109 at higher weights for the past two years with two companies in Denmark and we believe this will be a volume product for us in the UK.”
