King Stag (Transport) snapped up by Kay Transport

Stalbridge, Dorset-based King Stag (Transport) has been snapped up by Devon’s Kay Transport.

The deal, completed on the 12 April, sees the West Country haulier, which has an O-licence to run 10 vehicles and 12 trailers, become part of the Gregory Distribution group of companies, as the logistics frim has owned Kay Transport since 2009.

In a joint letter to customers Kay Transport director Tim Prout said it would be “business as normal” post deal, and confirmed that King Stag (Transport) director Richard Pink would be staying with the business.

A newer fleet of vehicles was due to be put into operation at King Stag (Transport), this week.
