Bristol-based Kings Heavy Haulage is to star in six-part TV documentary Supertruckers, which is due to air later this month.

The programme follows the family-run operator and its team of 25 staff as it moves abnormal and heavy loads, including military tanks and plant, across the UK and Europe.

Sarah King, who runs the business alongside brother Steve King, told Commercialmotor.com that the company had in the past been approached by a number of production companies, but none of them had caught its attention until the programme’s creators, Lion Television, came along.

“They have done a fantastic job. It’s not all drama and swearing, it’s a fun and informative look at what we do and how we overcome daily challenges,” she said.

The six-part series debuts on Quest (Freeview channel 37) at 9pm on Friday 20 February. A trailer is also available to watch now.
