Kuehne + Nagel has signed a three-year agreement to manage warehousing for Kärcher in Russia. The logistics giant will unload and inspect shipments arriving from the cleaning equipment firm's factory in Germany at its facility near Moscow. K+N will offer storage, order-picking and dispatch-preparation services. The deal also covers spare parts management, including warehousing, order-specific picking, packing and labelling.
Perry Neumann, K&N managing director for Russia, says: "We are driving the expansion of our logistics network across the country and anticipate accompanying Kärcher and other major global companies further into Russia." A spokesman for Kärcher adds: "Thanks to the new partnership with K&N, we are now able to take full control of the import and sale of our products across Russia."
