Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland in Inverness has supplied Scottish Highlands plant and road transport operator KV Shepherd & Son with a new FMX 8x4 chassis.
The sleeper cab truck is powered by the D13K engine coupled to an I-Shift 12-speed automated gearbox. There is also a straight-beam front axle for ground clearance, Dura-Bright alloy wheels to keep the kerb weight down, and Kelsa light bars.
It comes with Volvo’s factory-fit camera at the rear with a cover lens, as well as a forward-facing camera. The haulier, based in Contin, west of Inverness, also specified a Wilcox aggregate and asphalt body with Hyva tipping gear, PM Onboard weigher and Harsh easy sheet.
It runs a mainly Volvo fleet of eight trucks, and the new FMX includes a two-year warranty and two-year R&M package.
