L Lynch Plant Hire & Haulage has taken delivery of 17 new vehicles from DAF, Scania and Volvo as part of an expansion programme.

The order, placed through MV Commercial, includes eight DAF CF 450 8x4 tippers fitted with Fruehauf tipping bodies, two Scania P410 8x4s with Thompsons tipper bodies and five Volvo FMX 420 8x4s, also with tipper bodywork from Thompsons.

Also joinging the company’s 140-strong fleet are two Scania G450 8x2 rigids with Sterling Group plant bodies, Cheesewedge fold-forward ramps and HIAB 558 EP-5 cranes

The new trucks will be based at Lynch’s headquarters in Hemel Hempstead and depots around Birmingham, where they will be transporting materials and aggregates throughout the UK as well as doing on-site work.

Stephen Bremner, fleet director at Lynch, said: “These vehicles are important additions to the fleet, helping our customers meet ever more demanding delivery schedules. Our business is rapidly growing and we needed to refresh and expand our fleet. MV Commercial met the requirements and timescales for the vehicles we needed.”
