National Road Planing, a subsidiary of Lafarge Tarmac, has received a formal warning from the traffic commissioner (TC) in respect of its drivers’ hours and tachograph compliance.

The Market Rasen, Lincolnshire-based road planing contractor was called in front of West of England TC Sarah Bell at a public inquiry in Cambridge on 30 July, following an investigation by the DVSA.

A spokesman for the Office of the Traffic Commissioner said the TC took no further action against the firm’s two former transport managers, Jamie Town and Giles Bursey, and confirmed that their repute remained intact.

The operator, which holds O-licences in the West Midlands, West and East of England, is authorised to run a total of 39 vehicles and trailers.
