Lancashire Daf has opened a 2,700ft2 TRP trailer and all-makes parts shop in Bolton, offering a half-an-hour delivery service for stock items.
The £300,000 development is a satellite of Lancashire Daf’s site at Walton Summit, Preston, which holds 12,000 lines, equating to £1.2m of stock. Daf and TRP branded parts make up 96% of Lancashire Daf’s parts business.
Jonathan Francis, branch manager at Lancashire Truck and Trailer, said the shop will bring the dealer’s parts operation “even closer to new and existing customers”, providing a 24-hour parts delivery service. “We’re making an already slick parts service faster and even more efficient,” he said.
Stewart Davies, parts marketing manager at Daf Trucks, said: “We’re seeing a shift in our parts marketing strategy. We’re looking at more strategically positioned locations where large premises are not required and from
where we can deliver an ultra-responsive parts service to the maximum number of operators.”
