Chilled and frozen logistics firm Langdon Group has opened its new £9m depot in Redditch, replacing its existing West Midlands facility.

The Studley Road site, which has been purpose built by Langdons, replaces its existing facility in Redditch and has capacity for 5,000 frozen and chilled pallets. It also has 16 loading bays allowing for increased pallet throughput.

Arran Osman, Langdons MD, says: “Our depot at Heming Road has served us well for seven years, but we have known for some time that the throughput capacity restraints at that site could not be addressed and so we had to seek a new solution. As a location for our Midlands depot, Redditch has proved very satisfactory and so I am delighted that we are staying in the town.”

Langdons runs eight depots throughout the UK.
